This week’s Hero & Zero
Sunday, August 24th, 2008
YBF’s Hero of the week is none other than President Karzai of Afghanistan. Whilst he should be applauded for his efforts to bring democracy to the country, YBF would like to point out another reason why he makes this week’s Hero; he’s joined the long list of people who can’t resist having a laugh at Gordon Brown’s expense. At a joint press conference where Brown was continually asked about his relationship with Miliband, Karzai quipped “Cabinet Ministers plotting is nothing new. We have it in Afghanistan - although not my foreign minister”. Sound.
YBF’s Zero of the week is the champagne socialist Polly Toynbee. Yes, she’s at it again. This time she told an assembled audience at the launch of the History Channel’s 50 Things You Need To Know About British History that children should know their place and not bother aspiring to greatness. The incident is recorded here should you wish to see for yourselves what Polly really thinks about aspiration.
