YBF’s Conference Roundup

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

So Conference Season draws to a close, with the Conservative Conference in Birmingham marking a return to political normality. There is much talk out there about the Party’s time in Birmingham, and especially of David Cameron’s speech. ConservativeHome has, as ever, the best analysis. For YBF, the Conference was a great success – marking the ever closer relationship between us and the Party. The Activist Training on the Saturday was an excellent and very well attended media training event for your party activists, and the party in the evening was extremely memorable. (Or not so memorable, depending upon how much your enjoyed yourself!) The music was turned off for just enough time to allow Greg Hands MP to say some kind words about YBF’s work, and the party lasted until the small hours. The training, and the party, will become annual conference events. YBF also hosted a fringe event on the future of affordable housing, which was an enlightening discussion inclduing excellent contrinutions from Jesse Norman PPC.

YBF has left Birmingham, and now our thoughts turn to the Dr Shosky Speechwriting Workshop, and of course – YBF5.

Thanks to all the CF and Party activists who helped make YBF’s time at Conference the success that it was.
