Hero and Zero of the Week

This week’s Hero is…

… The Young Conservative - for saying what we were all surely thinking about the young conservative movement. It’s an absolutely fantastic new blog for all things young conservative. Ed Hallam and Tarasyn Whitehead-Patey have left others to blog about CF gossip, and instead they focus on high quality interviews, articles and events promotion. Make it part of your daily read.

This week’s Zero is…

…Gordon Brown. Well it had to be didn’t it? Here at YBF we don’t buy into the popular media line that ‘this crisis could save Gordon Brown’s political skin.’ Just think about that for a moment. If an arsonist sets fire to a house, should he be let off the hook simply by returning with a hose and putting the flames out? No, he shouldn’t. Gordon Brown’s situation is no different. This is the man that turned a blind eye to ten years of absurd personal and national debt levels, then hopes to ride in and clean up the mess that he’s created. Here is a must read article from George Osborne – let’s hope that we hear more along these lines from now on.

  • Week Eleven: Know Your Enemy

In today’s hectic multimedia age, it is easy only to spend time reading blogs, websites or newspapers with whom you are in agreement. That is a very dangerous course for the conservative activist to take. It is imperative to be as well read as possible – not just so that you know what your opponents [...]
