Calling all activists: don’t let him get away with it.

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Some parts of the press are going utterly mad with their praise of Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Just look at this, from a Candadian paper:

The French newspaper Le Monde called the normally morose Scot – who has suddenly taken up the habit of smiling – a “European superhero,” its conservative competitor Figaro called him the world’s greatest financial mind, and Swedish media have taken to calling him “Flash Gordon.”

YBF’s advice to all activists out there is “Don’t let Brown get away with this.” An earlier post on this blog referred to Brown as an arsonist now returning to the scene of the crime with a hose pipe – posing as a hero. The message must be hammered home time and time again – this is Brown’s mess, and whilst we’ll help him sort it out we will not let the British people be tricked into thinking that Brown is a hero. There is NOTHING heroic about nationalising industry, increasing public spending and deepening the role of the state in our lives.
