YBF ‘Up North’

On 11 February YBF made the trip up to Northumbria University to train activists in media skills. We were also joined by Mark Wallace, of the excellent TaxPayers’ Alliance, who spoke to the group about how real impact that the EU can have on our daily finances. Emma Carr wrote this review:
“The Young Britons’ Foundation travelled from London to come and talk to a group of young Northern activists from Newcastle, Northumbria and Sunderland with ages ranging from Sixth Form students to Post-Graduates. The visit included talks on the media, handling negative information and interview training. Mark Wallace from the Tax Payers Alliance also joined us and gave a greatly received talk on the role that the European Union has within Britain. A great afternoon was topped off with a stunt to highlight the role that the European Union has in causing the deaths of hundreds of Africans everyday due to its trading policy.
Everyone who attended had a great time and there was much enthusiasm towards the possibility of YBF joining us again and attending the YBF conference held in October. If any campus within Region would like to hear from the sound YBF please do not hesitate to either contact me or YBF directly.”
