The Young Britons’ Foundation is anxious to ensure that students of all ages – but particularly secondary school children and those in further education – get the chance to hear both sides of the argument.
All too often we hear that students have only ever heard what their usually left-wing teachers want them to hear, or what they have picked up from the BBC or popular culture.
As well as providing speakers to schools through the YBF Speakers Panel, or to provide campaign materials and posters to activists and teachers alike, YBF works with teachers to arrange for students to be given a private tour of the Houses of Parliament and, as part of their visit to Westminster, to receive lectures from MPs, Peers and leaders of think-tanks and pressure groups in a committee room. Students have a chance to ask tough questions to speakers and to challenge both the speakers’ ideas and their own worldview.
If you would like to arrange for a speaker to come to your school or college, or if you are a teacher and you would like to arrange for a visit to Parliament and for some conservative and libertarian speakers to address your students, please contact YBF Chief Executive, Donal Blaney, at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01732 525923.
